Many people think that if they report spam calls that found them on 123notary, that I have a magic button to stop this behavior. There are scam calls too and many people get them. I don’t know who the bad guys are any more than you do. The fact they found you on my directory doesn’t make me any more guilty than you or some random stranger on the street.

I can’t do anything about this. Here is what you can do.

1. Block anyone who is a spammer or scammer calling you for any reason from any source of information.

2. Unlist yourself from public directories in general. It might be hard to get business that way, but it is at least an option.

3. Report the spammers to the FBI. But, don’t report us as guilty because we have no connection to these maniacs. Most of them are not even on American soil.

SUMMARY
In short, there is nothing you can do that will lead to any positive conclusion with spammers other than to block them and avoid talking to them. If you reward them by talking to them they will just bother more people. If you reject them right off the bat and don’t give them a chance, then they will stop bothering others.

HOWEVER
Some people get bothered by one or two spammers, and then get a legitimate call from me or a client — and they treat me like a spammer just because the last call was a spammer. You need to distinguish what is the difference between a regular call and a spam call.

REGULAR CALL vs. SPAM CALL
1. A regular call will call for a purpose, speak grammatical English, not be agitated, or muffled in their tone.

2. A regular call will have administrative access to your account either directly, or will be able to get to me for access to passwords. A spam call will not have that access.

3. A regular call will not ask for money from a complete stranger unless we never talked before when your renewal is due. But, I normally send renewal emails a month or two before calling to make it easier.

DON’T BE RUDE TO JEREMY
If you are rude to me when I call, you will get written up. So, don’t assume someone is a spammer just because the last one was. This problem happens to me once a month and I don’t like false accusations, and I write people up. The reason I write people up for this is because if you treat me poorly, you will treat legitimate clients poorly who call from our directory and that is bad for the overall reputation of my directory with end users.

Many Notaries in August, 2020 were doing really well in business. Calls are up, people are purchasing, refinancing, and more. The market is booming partly due to lower interest rates. Another reason things are booming is that businesses aren’t borrowing much and the lenders have to lend to someone. Perhaps they have lightened their post 2008 restrictions on who can borrow and with what credit score.

The other reason things are booming is that half of the Notaries are older and afraid of Covid19. They are hiding in their basements while the working half are cleaning up. Such a great opportunity.

Personally, I feel that we should let nature take its course and not do anything to disrupt the flow of nature no matter how gruesome it is, even if the numbers weren’t completely faked and paid for by the bribes of pharmaceutical companies. We can’t all be imposter Bidens and hide in our basement with a facemask dangling from our right ear.

I go for long walks in Los Angeles daily and have not seen one person coughing up blood, or turning blue walking down the street. I have not even seen anyone sneeze since 2019. It has been the healthiest I have ever seen America.

So, how long will things boom? It is hard to say. With business devastated, they might continue to be devastated for years to come and we might all become rich. We’ll find out. On the other hand, if there is a housing crash, nobody will have any equity to draw on which is another take on the issue. We’ll have to wait and find out. I’m tempted to say that I’m optimistic (for once), but I’m really more perplexed than anything else.

Just FYI………… On occasion I have heard a complaint or 2 about 123 Notary. I am here to tell you that when I started out I would have never made it without 123 Notary. I have been associated with 123 Notary for 9 years now and I’m here to tell you it is a great service! Nothing compares!

Today I am not able to accept much that comes to me from 123 Notary because I have become so established. However, the calls, emails and texts are constant (sometimes up to 100 a day). Business will not always be as good as it is now. When that time comes 123 Notary will be as important to me as ever.

123notary has a review system. You can write a good review or a bad review. Contrary to popular belief, getting a bad review doesn’t ruin you, but getting no reviews will… kind of. For every 20 good reviews we get about one bad review, so the reviews are mostly positive. People don’t write bad reviews much because it is mean, and because they don’t want drama. But, there is another reason.

People who make technical mistakes on loan signings get caught when they scan back the documents. They can fix the problem before it is too late. So, the loan signing and title companies have less of a reason to write you up for that. Most of the complaints we get in 2020 are because the Notary did a no-show, didn’t return the documents, or was rude.

Generally speaking if a Notary was rude, there are two sides to the story. Usually it involves a misunderstanding. Perhaps the borrower told them one thing and then did another. Perhaps someone switched a time, wants to read forever, or there are more pages or notarizations than previously stated. Or perhaps someone who is supposed to be there is not there or someone walks out and doesn’t explain why. The family might be having a dispute with each other which the notary might get involved in.

There are many reasons you could get into an argument. The best thing is to try to not react to the other person’s bad behavior which is hard. But, on a brighter note, we hardly ever get complaints about the technical skills of our Notaries.
