10 reasons to get a high placed listing on 123notary

Filed under: Advertising — admin @ 9:30 am

Many Notaries go for top listings on 123notary despite the high price
because they know it generates jobs. However, many Notaries prefer the
free listings because they don’t want to pay for performance. Here are
some reasons that might sway your opinion on paying for a higher spot
on 123notary.

1. Title companies prefer the top several notaries on 123notary.
Title assumes that the top several notaries are better quality on
123notary. This might have to do with the fact that we use an
algorithm to filter out those with low overall scores from being high
on the list. Title is picking up on that fact, and that has been the
case for years. Title companies that pay well rarely look far down the
list for Notaries.

2. Get seen
People higher on the list get seen more than those down the list.
People shopping for price might go all the way down the list to look
for a notary, but those who pay well do not generally have to look
far. Paying a few hundred to be high on the list can pay off fast
especially when business is good.

3. Get paid more per signing
Those listed higher on the list generally get paid more per signing.
People who low-ball often hire from lower on the list or go to
SnapDocs, or NotaryRotary.

4. Get more clicks and overall calls.
If you are high on the list, you will get many more clicks and calls
than those down the list. You will get more jobs than with an
identical listing down the list. Being high on the list doesn’t
guarantee jobs, but it makes you in people’s face and impossible to
miss.

5. Don’t get overlooked
Most people who use 123notary start at the top and keep calling until
they find someone who can do the job for a reasonable price. If you
are at the bottom of the list, you might never get called except for
jobs that are late at night, far away, or don’t pay well. Although you
never know.

6. Get respect
People assume you are a better quality notary when you are at the top
of 123notary.com. Our site has a reputation for having good notaries,
especially at the top of the list.

7. Get high placement in neighboring counties
Only a high spot on 123notary will get you higher placement (above the
free listings at least) in adjascent counties at no extra cost. Some
Notaries get heavy call volume from neighboring areas as well as from
their home area.

8. Have a guarantee of where you will show up on the list.
Regular, preferential and free listings do not guarantee you where
you will show up. They are just levels. Preferential means you are
above regular, and regular means you are above free. It doesn’t
guarantee a particular placement. Being a p20 guaranatees you top
placement on your county page. We cannot guarantee zip results due to
the unpredictable overlap, but overlap only happens if someone is near
you, but on the other side of a county line.

9. Have a guarantee you won’t be removed
Free listings do not get always get reminders to login and can be
removed on a whim by 123notary staff. High placed paid listings get
reminders to login and you will not be removed unless you ignore a lot
of reminders to login by email and phone. In fact, with most top
placements, I login for them (shhh, don’t tell anyone.)

10. Get customer service
If you are a free listing, you get minimal if any customer service
from us. But, high placed listings get not only password assistance,
but get help with their notes section, marketing advice, and lots of
hand holding from Jeremy and Carmen. If you want to be cared for and
get high quality help from people who have been in the business for 22
years, a top listing is a cost efficient way to get that.

NOTE
High placed listings perform well if they have a few reviews from
satisfied clients as well as a thorough and well written notes
section. If you leave your listing stripped down, you might not get
your money’s worth. 123notary is in the business of getting renewals
and repeat business, so we strongly suggest that you ask for our help
and suggestions as to how to make the most of your listing. That way
you will get more work and be very likely to renew with us which is
what we depend on for our long term survival. Getting 123notary
certification is another strong plus for your listing and you can
email us to learn more about that.

Some Facebook groups are speaking favorably about 123notary

Filed under: Social Media — admin @ 9:27 am

I remember back in 2017 I was testing Notaries by phone. Many were
complaining very loudly. There were Facebook groups that would bash us
daily just because I wanted to have quality standards. Most Notaries
claim to be great, but without testing them it does not make sense to
take their word for it.

In any case, I heard that recently (in 2019) Notaries are saying nice
things about 123notary on a few Facebook groups. It’s about time! All
I do is work hard to maintain quality on my site! I stopped testing
people by phone in early 2018, so hopefully people will forget about
how unpleasant it is.

The real problem with the testing is that people did not want to be
tested, and furthermore, they mostly did not know the answers. We test
now by email and most people just don’t respond. But, those who do
respond have time to think about the questions and answer them at a
time that is favorable to them. Many people learn something answering
my questions too.

Notary Public 101 is a free course I created that is on the blog. It
is free and you do not need a password. Learn all about notary
procedure, confirming appointments, handling tough situations, and
more. You need to know this information anyway, so try to set apart
some time and master it.

123notary strives hard to benefit Notaries even if we are tough
sometimes. If we are demanding it is for a good reason — so we can
please the users by offering them the best quality notaries possible.
Thanks to those who say nice things about us on social media.

People impostering 123notary. What can I do?

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 9:24 am

There are a few people pretending to be 123notary. Sometimes they try
to sell you something or get information. When I call notaries after
they have been bothered by imposters, they don’t want to give me
information because they are afraid I will ask for money too. Since
when am I responsible for what some strangers do, and what can I
possible do to stop these rascals? I inform them that I never asked
for money and that it was you.. the notary who brought the issue of
money up, not me. But, some Notaries just like to be difficult and I
end up removing them for being jerks.

Even if some rascals bother you, you still have to be nice when
legitimate calls come in or you get into trouble and lose your free
listing, not that you care. But, some free listings generate a lot of
business so you should care.

If you are in doubt as to the legitimacy of a potential scam caller,
email us at info@123notary.com to see if the person is legit. We
sometimes hire girls to do calls for us. However, we do not have new
girls ask for money. If we have Wendy or Adine call you, they will
refer you to Carmen (who you all know or at least should know) to
process the transaction as a general rule.

Verify sources and don’t give money to strangers. Check people out if
you don’t know them.

10 reasons to get 123notary certified

Filed under: Certification & Communication Skills — admin @ 7:02 am

Back in 2004 to 2012, many people wanted to get 123notary certified and studied hard to get this designation. In the last few years, we retested our certified members and found that the overall skill level of people on our site had declined a lot and that most people were not willing to study. This is a huge mistake. Title and signing companies care about experience above any other qualification. However, they still reward people for knowledge and the clicks and jobs dispatched prove my point. If you want to have an edge over the other Notaries, 123notary certification is one of the most effective investments of your time — the other two being reviews, a stellar notes section and accumulating mass amounts of experience the old fashioned way. Below are some significant benefits for 123notary.com certification.

1. Get more clicks (but, not on route 66)
123notary certification currently gets Notaries an average of about 30% more clicks to their listing. It is one major factor of several that determines whether or not your listing will even get looked at. More clicks typically translates into more jobs, however, this relationship is not directly proportional. 30% more clicks in real life would translate into 40-50% more jobs. Many people will click once on your listing during a query. But, if they give you extra clicks, that means they are strongly considering hiring you which is why the click to job ration is disproportional and in your favor.

2. Get more jobs from Title
One Notary wrote to me after he failed his certification retest audit. He said that calls from title dropped altogether the minute I took his certification icon away from him. This is not true for all Notaries, but was his case which is why he studied many hours to pass the scrutiny of my questioning. People who work for title want solid Notaries, and they look at a number of factors including certification — and for God’s sake, please don’t have any spelling mistakes in your notes section on your listing or you can expect your phone to be dead.

3. Feel more confident about yourself
Many Notaries who master our materials like the fact that they know what they are doing. At the risk of sounding more like a deodorent commercial — many signing agents have told me that the feel happier and more confident talking to title and going to signings. Yes, they spend many grueling hours studying for our test, but they feel it was worth it and I respect their diligence.

4. Be one step closer to elite certification
You cannot just become elite certified at 123notary. You need to have a solid understanding of Notary procedure and vocabulary as well as a 123notary basic certification. Certification brings you one step closer to being ready to study for the elite test which is very different material and much more obscure.

5. 123notary certification is sought after by particular companies
I have gotten correspondence from Notaries who claim that 123notary certification is informally recognized by 1st American Title among others.

6. You will be a safer Notary
Many Notaries put themselves at legal risk because they do not know the legal significance of how they handle situations. Not keeping your journal correctly could end you up in trouble with the FBI or a Judge in court. Not keeping thumbprints could get you named as a suspect in an investigation as it looks like a cover up. Doing cross-outs when it is not necessary can get you in trouble with certain county recorders or Lenders. Knowing what you can do, and knowing what you can do that is prudent are two different questions. Learn how to please your client without creating liability for yourself by mastering our Notary materials. We have written blog articles where Notaries have gotten into legal trouble and had to pay up to $20,000 to defend themselves when they were innocent. Imagine how much easier it would be if you kept proper records and acted prudently at all steps along the way.

7. Multiple certifications make you look serious
As someone who deals with Notaries all day long, I can attest to the fact that I have a higher level of respect for Notaries who have three or more certifications. Those who just get the NNA certification and say, “That is all I need.” seem like underachievers to me. I have a higher opinion of those who took notary2pro, NNA, and 123notary certification, or Loan Signing System. When I was a Notary I got certified by five organizations to give you an example of someone who takes this business seriously.

8. Make $8 more per signing.
We did a poll many years ago and learned that our 123notary certified members average income made per signing (according to their claims after a mass email was sent asking them how much their average signing netted) was $8 higher than people not certified by 123notary. Elite members made $14 more per signing. Making more income per signing means that after expenses, you will be making a lot more per year. The extra income could add up to $5000 to $10000 extra per year for a busy Notary which might be $200,000 in their lifetime. It only takes ten hours to do a good job studying for our test. Is your ten hours worth $200,000? That’s $20,000 per hour. What else can you do that is worth that much even if you do brain surgery (or are a hitman) on the side?

9. Get perks from 123notary!
If we notice you are 123notary certified, you would be more likely to get opportunities for free or paid upgrades that the others might be overlooked for. Stop being overlooked and get certified today! If you are late paying your bill, we might give you a little longer grace period. And in general we will value you more because you represent knowledge, quality, and come across as being a serious Notary. Over all you will get better treatment from 123notary if you pass our test.

10. Be more fluent explaining things to borrowers
In real life there are certain things you can and should explain to the borrowers while there are others that you should refer them to a professional about. If you pass our test you will know where to find the prepayment penalty, how to explain the APR, what is on the HUD or CD, and when their first payment is due. You will have this information memorized. You will know that a signer can legally presign an Acknowledgment (in most states) whether the Lender “prefers” that or not and how to administer an Oath without falling on your face. You will be more professional and smooth in all of your transactions.

SUMMARY
Certification will help you get more clicks, get more work, make more per signing, be smarter, feel better, be a smoother Notary, and get on the good side of 123notary. It only costs a few hours of study and a small fee, so the only thing holding you back is lethargy. Get off your assets and get 123notary certified today!

123notary trained her and now she is getting jobs off the hook

Filed under: Marketing Articles — admin @ 5:29 am

It all started when someone signed up for a listing many months ago. I talked to her on the phone and the phone call lasted for seven hours she was so interesting. I gave her lots of tips, and she read my blog tutorials on Notary work. When she took my new and more difficult quiz, she got 84% while the others averaged about 35-40%. My new quiz
has many following directions, handling situations and tough notary questions which most people just cannot handle.

The last time I called this lady, she said, “I can’t talk, I’m at a signing. The listing is really working out well.” Then we talked later on that evening and she said she had been getting a lot of work. Something like eighty signings in the last two months which is amazing for someone brand new with no experience.

So, this is an example of someone who listens to our advice, studies hard, and puts attention into their listing. The result is success and happiness!

123notary behind the scenes – almost not able to walk

Filed under: Social Media — admin @ 5:27 am

It was bad. For months, my left leg was killing me. And on my right leg there was sciatic pain. The right buttocks would hurt when I sat for long hours. The left side of my left leg would hurt so badly when I walked, that I had to take one minute breaks every five minutes or so.

Finally, I went to the acupuncturist and he said my circulation was not good in my legs and that I had a muscle spasm. So, he gave me some acupuncture. I had gone to another acupuncturist a week before who also gave me acupuncture with the biggest needles I had ever seen.

But, walking had become such a problem. I took the bus to Koreatown a few times. It is only a few miles down Wilshire. I remember walking home from Koreatown twice. I had to stop every five minutes because the tension and pain was unbearable. And taking my neighborhood walks to Whole Foods and around the park became very painful as well. The hot baths helped a little, but weren’t good enough.

On a brighter note, Koreatown was fun. I took the bus there because parking is so expensive. I tried a great Oaxacan place and had different types of mole and Oaxacan style tortillas which were excellent. I tried Bengladeshi tandoori for only two bucks at a market.

After trying about ten places, I finally found a massage therapist who I could commit to. After she worked on my left leg three times, I was finally able to walk without pain. But, this lady kept trying to do my back. I told her my back is fine. It is the leg that is a huge problem. I guess some masseuses are on auto-pilot and want to focus on backs. Well thank God my back is no problem because my legs have been bothering me for months.

Now, the legs are okay, but the calves are tight. So, we will be working on those for a while. I am walking three hours a day to get healthy so it is no wonder that my legs get up tight.

So, I am okay now — for now. Wish me luck.

Would you like to be a guest blogger on 123notary?

Filed under: Social Media — admin @ 8:35 pm

123notary gets regular inquiries from those who want to do guess blogging. Normally they offer us a small fee to publish their articles with a link and promise us long term business which never seems to pan out. However, it is nice to get a diversity of articles on our site and extra pocket change (or what the Arabs call “Pepsi money.” )

In any case, if you would like to write for us, my main concern is — what are you going to write about? We like posts relating to:

MOST RELEVANT
Notary issues

NEXT MOST RELEVANT
Mortgage
Real Estate
People who travel by car to appointments
Legal

THIRD MOST RELEVANT
Technical or computer related
Financial
Entrepreneur

I prefer relevant articles since those will be of interest to our readers. But, if you have an unrelated article, we can still publish it with a link for the right price. I am charging $50 to $125 per article now. All I ask is that ALL instructions are in the email with the article and that the article is sent on its own SEPARATE email and not mixed in with our negotiations in some long annoying string.

Thanks for your interest and — keep it relevant!

Sincerely,
Jeremy Belmont

How do you know the call came from your 123notary advertisement?

Filed under: Advertising — admin @ 11:22 pm

Yesterday, one of our more motivated Notaries called me to ask me a few questions. She asked, how she would know if a call for a Notary job came from her 123notary advertisement.

The answer is that there is only two ways to know:

They tell you.
You ask them!

Ideally, a serious Notary who wants to know their ROI on various forms of competing advertising needs to keep a journal and write down the source of every job that they got. Sometimes it is repeat business who already knows you. Sometimes business comes from a referral. Other times they forgot. But, if you get enough referrals from 123notary, then definitely upgrade and get certified.

Each quarter you can tally up the jobs that claimed to come from each respective directory and see how much you are paying each directory to see which is a more effective use of your money.

However, don’t forget, 123notary advertising works a lot better if you have a notes section individually checked by Jeremy himself. If he thinks your notes are lame, so will the browsers, and you will not get hired much. Put some unique and juicy material in there about yourself. And you need reviews as well on a regular basis. So, don’t judge 123 unless you did your part in making your listing pop.

Will 123notary certification get you more work and is it worth it?

Filed under: Certification & Communication Skills — admin @ 10:34 pm

People think about the financial cost of getting 123notary certified. It is only $67.95 currently. That is not a big investment. Word on the street is that get more work and about $8 more per job if you have our certification. As of 2019, I estimate that you would get about 30% more work by having our certification, and $8 more per signing according to a poll I took.

So, if you were paying a few hundred a year for a top listing, you would get 30% more out of it which might add up to about $100 extra value for advertising each year. The other way to look at it is that you might get several thousand dollars more business each year which you would have no other way to obtain. So are you gaining $100 worth of advertising or thousands in revenue? How should you look at it?

The fact is that the big investment in our certification is not the cost which would pay for itself in days in terms of the extra work you are expected to get. The big investment is time, because in addition to our cert course, we expect you to master Notary Public 101 on our blog which is a long and comprehensive guide to basic Notary procedure. We think you should already know that stuff, but nobody does regardless of what state you are in.

So, the bottom line is that you might need 20 hours of study time, but the $30,000 extra you might make over the next decade is definitely worth your time and makes your time worth $1500 per hour. What else are you doing with your time that is worth $1500 per hour unless you are an assassin. And if my math is wrong, you tell me what the correct math is. After all I am only doing an educated estimate.

You might also have an easier time rising up to a higher spot when one comes available if you have our certification. So there are multiple reasons for getting it but only one for not — laziness and a self defeating attitude. Keep positive — and get our certification today. It is good for life but you do have to pass a phone audit as well as the online test.
