Park La Brea has gone to the dogs… literally

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 8:08 am

Park La Brea Apartment Complex of Los Angeles, CA 90036 used to be a reasonably nice place to live. There were noise issues from time to time over the last 20 years and security was generally sluggish solving these problems. Routine stereo use, subwoofers, children playing loudly near high rises for hours at a time, chirping fire alarms that needed new batteries. We would normally have to bother security several times or up to seven times in the past to get these problems solved and often get the run around. Those were the good old days, at least compared to the current status quo.

In the old days, until about two years ago, there were strict dog policies. The policies went from no dogs allowed period — to being changed to allow a few nicely behaved dogs. I did not read their policies as I don’t have a dog myself although you will find me dogmatic if you read to the end of this article. In the old days the only time we had a problem with dogs is if someone brought a dog in from outside and the dog made lots of noise barking. In those days security would solve that quickly.

Then, around 2019, which incidentally is the same time that in my opinion a very dark and ominous spiritual force became pervasive in my area, dogs were allowed in with few restrictions. More and more dogs came into the complex to live. However, management and security had no protocol to manage the dogs or their poop. Their attitude seems to be — we’ll deal with problems AFTER they happen rather than do preventive maintenance. Except if there are no specifics of what happened after the fact, then we have our hands tied. How useless!

I have already been bitten once, and pounced on several times, menaced, lunged at, barked at, growled at, and had serious screaming matches with dog owners. I don’t blame the dogs, I blame the owners.

So, we have several thousand dogs roaming around, most of whom are relatively new to the area. None of them have been trained from management as to what acceptable behavior is, how long or short their leash should be, or how much of a distance they should keep from those who did not express an interest in being close to their vile pet. Sure this is a nice way to attract new renters in an economy ravaged by an outward migration of people who don’t like the dragonian reaction to Covid-19 in California. But, this lackadaisical attitude towards pestilent pets will surely not be attractive to the long term residents who by definition are not likely to have a dog.

So, here is an itemization of my issues:

1. LEASH LAWS & POLICIES
Los Angeles County law requires all dogs to be on a leash not to exceed six feet. But, in Park La Brea it is common to see dogs running around freely, sometimes out of sight of their owners. It is also common to see dogs on adjustable length leashes that go up to 15 feet. If you go anywhere near these dogs, you can easily get pounced on or bitten. I pass by 40 dogs per day, and I keep at least six feet distance if possible. If I came closer to these animals I would be having an incident involving yelling at least once per day. Unless you report an individual to security that you can name, or name where they live, security will not be able to do anything — and they never act proactively on their own for this issue unless the dog looks very dangerous.

Management and Security do NOTHING to enforce leash laws or leash length laws which has led to a lot of chaos.

2. RESTRICTED PARKS
Park La Brea policy and signage disallows pets from entering the activities center park. However, whenever I go, day or night, there are always pets there. Sometimes those pets don’t behave in a manner conducive to me having a relaxing walk.

3. MUZZLES
Dogs that are aggressive are required to wear a muzzle. However, there is no definition of what aggressive is. One security guard thought that killer attack dogs were aggressive and I agreed with him. However, tiny dogs that growl at you if you walk near them are ALSO aggressive and they also bite. Their bite won’t kill you, but it is very disconcerting to be bitten or pounced on by a hostile little canine.

4. LEADERSHIP & TRAINING
Each security guard I talk to (and there have been about five I have spoken to about the dog issue) has a different understanding about dog policy. Since 20% of the problems that we have in the complex are now dog related, it behooves security management to have all of their staff be intimately knowledgeable about dog policies and probably carry written policies on their person at all times so they can look things up. Many security offices just ride around on bicycles but have no clue how to handle very basic situations. What is the point of even having security if they don’t keep us secure?

5. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
My solution to the dog problem is as follows.
(a) Have fewer total dogs
(b) Segregate dogs to living in certain units on the perimeter of the complex, and playing only in certain areas, and walking only on certain sidewalks
(c) Enforce “dogs not allowed” areas with sound technology. Dogs cannot stand high pitched noises that humans would not be aware of. In certain parks, there could be devices making those noises. Additionally, security could write up citations for those who violated the policies.
(d) Signage. It is no surprise that people do not follow leash laws as there are no signs explaining what leash laws or policies are. Those signs should be in your face everywhere. At least people would know what the policies are even if they disobey them.
(e) There are 13 entrances to the activities center park. The backs of all high rises have a back door which constitutes an entrance. And then there are pedestrian entrances on either side of the four high rises that surround the pari. Additionally there is a main entrance which is the 13th entrance (or the first depending on where you started counting. There are three signs in the park which are not lit at night stating that pets are not allowed. If there were large and lit signs on all 13 entrances stating dog policy, there would be a lot fewer people with doggies creating a nuisance.
(f) Poop maintenance. Since I am familiar with the concept of living in harmony with nature, I understand that in nature, dogs poop. Therefore, unless you want to live in a poop infested world, there needs to be a mechanism for picking up the poop as not all dog owners do it for their dog. Management here leaves the poop all over the place and it stays on the grass for weeks. If you walk around at night on the grass, you will step on poop. How attractive. Yet another piece of information to put in the sales literature for prospective renters.

Welcome to Park La Brea — if you like stepping on dog poop that we let sit for weeks on end, this is the place for you! If you walk on the sidewalk you will be antagonized by dogs, but if you keep a safe margin of space between you and the dogs, you will have to walk on the grass which is covered intermittently with poop. Enjoy!

SUMMARY
In short, Park La Brea welcomed thousands of dogs with no plan on educating, managing, or disciplining a single one of them. This has led to chaos. There is poop everywhere, barking, dog bites, pouncing incidents, growling, slobbering, happening on a regular basis. If I didn’t know any better, I would think that Biden arranged this whole situation, but it seems that there are others out there as clueless as Biden who follow in his footsteps.

Notary Public Day — every Nov 7th

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 7:53 am

Since 1975, every November 7th has been celebrated as Notary Public Day. I have never heard of this day before. I don’t think very many Notaries celebrate it. I’m not sure how you should celebrate it. Perhaps getting a rectangular cake that looks like a frosty Notary seal would be the best way. And you could sing Notary songs about declining backdating requests, 15 year whisky and a 30 year loan, I’m running out of song ideas.

To me that is one more excuse to party. But, would Notaries get together with other Notaries (competition) and celebrate, or get together with friends and describe their profession and listen to all of their lame questions? Hmm. Food for thought.

The date of November 7 was chosen as Notary Public Day in recognition of the date that America’s first notary, Thomas Fugill, was commissioned. Fugill’s appointment by the Colony of New Haven happened on October 25, 1639 (Julian calendar), November 7 on the Gregorian calendar now in use. So, Fugill’s Notary commission was not in Fugility nor was it in futility!

I’ll contact my local cake makers. We really need to make a thing out of this. We should contact calendar makers to get them to put it in the calendar as it trumps some of their other inconsequential holidays like Canadian Thanksgiving (observed.)

Kamala Harris’ science & astronomy video — commentary

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 7:32 am

Kamala Harris was torn to shreds by Fox news and others. Her astronomy video was described as cringeworthy, and phony.

Personally, I think that Kamala is a talented Prosecutor and Politician who is not allowed to do her job. She is a “for show” Vice President in the phoniest administration in U.S. history, and not even allowed to be a glorified puppet. She is smart, charismatic, and would make a great talk show host or guest. She has great stage presence, looks great, and is a great speaker.

Her performance is similar in nature to Psaki’s and Biden’s which is based purely on evasiveness. Biden has a plan to change the demographics of the United States, flood the border with all types of new immigrants so that they can get quick citizenship and vote for Democrats. He is basically rigging future elections any way he can if you ask me. In the process he is making a mess of the border, made a mess of Afghanistan to promote his “feel good” image of avoiding occupying foreign countries, and made a mess of oil prices by making much of the domestic drilling illegal.

Since this administration does nothing but make messes, part of their strategy is based on diversion.

THE VIDEO
The video was mostly about hired child actors who were allegedly interested in learning about outer space. One of the children asked Kamala what the most surprising thing she found about being vice president. She said there were many new things — but, one of the things was that her mom was a scientist and that she loves exploring the unknown. Kamala masterfully changed the topic of the conversation and diverted to a theme of wonder, intrigue, adventure, and most of all — my favorite — vagueness.

Additionally, the demographics of the children reflect the future demographics of the democratic party. Lots of blacks, asians, not sure why there weren’t any hispanics, and a well defined lack of white males — which is by design and on purpose. That is called exclusion and racial discrimination by the way as the largest proportion of American male children are white and are systemically underrepresented in promotional materials concerning the Democratic party. It just doesn’t sound very democratic. However, it does stress the theme of unity — women and minorities in unity against white men. It looks like they are preaching anti-racism and unity while practicing blatant systemic racial discrimination against whites (particularly the males) and engaging in systemic division.

Despite the “tokenization” of people who were chosen for their image rather than for their aptitude, skill, or interest in science, it looks like these child actors have as little to do with actual science as Kamala has to do with running the United States or any facet thereof. Kamala is also a token, so this “one of each race” with no regard to the content of anyone’s character approach to choosing children to be in the video . All I can say is — “We’re all represented —- yay!!!!”

I believe that if Kamala were allowed to do her job in her own way, she would do a good job being border Czar, and Vice President. Probably better than Biden. After all, she is not suffering from dementia, or senility and is quite bright. Furthermore, she knows what day it is, where she is, and probably would not call the Prime Minister of Australia, “Down under guy” like certain counterparts that she keeps.

As much as I have faith in Kamala’s untapped abilities, I am so impressed by Psaki who can make a series of complete administrative disasters look like we are moving in the right direction. She is so eloquent about avoiding issues, and making blunders seem like wise strategic choices. If Biden dies in office, I think Psaki is the most qualified to replace him. Never mind having a BS in BS, she has a PhD in BS and makes it an art form. I am so impressed. I will be surprised if America is still a nation in 2030 and even more surprised if we are financially solvent.

The Supply Chain Debacle

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 7:31 am

It all started when I had to go to five stores to find Starbucks Double Shot. I love double shots so much I created a notary quiz question where the notary has to administer an Oath to me for a statement that says, “I love Starbucks Double Shots.” Well, they are not being manufactured anymore and they are out of stock. Thank God I have the remains of a dozen that I keep in my trunk for trips. What is happening to this planet.

Then I couldn’t find water at the supermarket. But, I went to another supermarket and they had Arrowhead, but not their store brand. Is this a trucking problem.

Then, I started seeing articles stating that the supply chain has been undermined for five months — and I am only realizing in October 2021.

So, how will this affect the notary biz? Good question. First of all, if you are a Notary (or anyone else), you should consider stocking up on things you like and things you need because they might not be available at some point because your trucker died, quit, or has Covid. Additionally, local California laws make it impossible to hire a trucker who has their own truck because they must be categorized as an employee even if they meet the definition of a subcontractor. I believe CA created that law solely to throw a wrench in people’s business models and put people out of work.

Supply chain issues lead to a decrease in construction because materials are so hard to come by. That means less purchases, sales, and construction paperwork. We still might have refinances, and that might go up as property values might climb if people are not able to build easily. Additionally, there is a labor shortage as people don’t want to work as much or due to labor law issues, cannot qualify to work under the terms they like or need such as being an independent contractor. AB5 is such a bummer.

I think that in the long run, people will die from the vaccine and from natural disasters. My psychic channeled the angels at my request to ask about two dozen questions — mostly personal. But, one was about earthquakes. The angel said that earthquakes would be the tip of the iceberg. We will have volcanoes all throughout the world — that means Oregon and Washington State will be in big trouble, and perhaps Wyoming.

It seems clear that the Messiah is coming, and the prophecy is that 2/3rds of the world’s population will die in the years before he becomes a public figure. A much smaller portion of the American population will die compared to the world population, but there will still be death. And death means more available housing which means that ALTHOUGH housing might go up for the next two years, it will have to come down a little starting around 2023 or 2024 when it hits it’s apex, and then sharply around 2024-2027. This is just my guestimate, but it is based on future events revealed to me.

So, I don’t know where it makes sense to put your assets: stocks, gold, real estate, land, or cash. Maybe a mixture of all of these. Basically, when the market hits its apex, there will not be much in terms of Refinances after that. And God knows what will happen to global financial markets. We might face another meltdown, but of unprecedented proportions. Time to build a bunker and stock up on canned goods!

Digging into your journal to remember what types of experience you have

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 6:43 am

Most Notaries draw a blank when I ask them what types of loans they have signed. They all say Refinances, and most say Purchases. Beyond that it is a biz haze. But, in your notes section, people want to read more about you than just Refinances. People want to read what makes you unique, not what makes you the same. You would not write that you have two eyes and a nose, right? Okay, bad example, many people would write that. So, what is the solution?

Dig through your JOURNAL to see records of what type of signings you have done. Assuming you do a thorough job in your journal, or saving your order faxes/emails, you might find a ton of information about what you have done. If you have signed three or more of a particular type of package, you could claim that you are “familiar” with it.

I don’t know where to draw the line about how familiar you are about a particular type of package, but if you have done a few, or studied it through some course, that really helps establish familiarity.

Memorial of Carmen Towles, former salesperson for 123notary

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 6:42 am

CARMEN’S DEATH
Carmen Towles passed away in July of 2020. I found out on July 25th from a client. I believe she passed away on the 24th, but I see other conflicting reports on Notary Rotary saying it happened two weeks before that. The last time I talked to Carmen was on June 29th when she was released from the hospital. She was able to talk but wasn’t making logical sense. She couldn’t remember if she had a gall stone or a kidney stone. I think you would remember that.

Carmen died of Pancreatic cancer, but had a gall bladder infection too. She never told me about the cancer, perhaps because she didn’t want me to worry. I think it would have been better if she had told me so I could plan ahead.

OUR HISTORY TOGETHER
In any case, Carmen and I worked together for 17 years since 2003. I remember the first time I met her at the entrance to our complex. I was selling her a course book. She was very talkative, inquisitive, and sharp. She kept calling me to ask questions and became very knowledgeable as a signing agent. Carmen claimed she took the NNA course, but that it did not make her feel confident enough to go out and do real signing work. After she mastered our 123notary course, she felt she got a practical road map of what to do and how to handle situations. As time went on, I begged her to work for me. She initially didn’t want to. It took a few years to get her to work full time. After she got used to it, signings slowed down, and she became hooked on 123. She did the new sales and renewals and was very possessive about the work.

CARMEN AS A MENTOR
Carmen was an excellent mentor to many of our Notaries. She taught them the twists and turns of what can happen at signings and with the various companies who hire Notaries. She kept many out of trouble and inspired all. She had real charisma, pizzazz, combined with a deep and pragmatic knowledge of Notary law and signing competency. Nobody else combined her flamboyance and knowledge. None of the other Notary companies have anyone even half as good as she was.

CARMEN’S INPUT
Carmen helped me put together a new over the phone test content as well as a new course which is on the blog and free — Notary Public 101. We wanted to emphasize what gets Notaries in trouble, so they can stay out of trouble. The other courses taught information which was about loan documents which is fine, but you don’t normally get in trouble for not understanding the documents, you get in trouble for notary mistakes or mishandling situations.

OUR LOSS
The Notaries are very sad that Carmen is gone. There will never be another Carmen. I am sad that I never got to say goodbye. I didn’t think she would pass away so fast. I thought she had another year where she would function at half speed. But, I can communicate easily with spirits, so I have had a few simple dialogues with Carmen.

JEREMY: How are things in the brighter world?
CARMEN: I’m getting a lot of rest.

JEREMY: What will I do without you?
CARMEN: Oh, don’t worry about it.

JEREMY: Do you have to wear face masks up there?
CARMEN: Ha ha…. no!!!

LIFE WITHOUT CARMEN
So, now I have to do all of Carmen’s work. I call all of the renewal people. It wouldn’t take that long except that the higher level people like to chat. Many of our higher level people have been with us for years, in some cases up to 20 years, and they have stories from long back. The bigger issue is not having to do her work. I am missing the new calls because I am not prepared to answer the phone all the time. I am not sure how I will hire someone new who will be acceptable and who will last.

And third, I miss Carmen because she is like a family member to me. She understood me well, and had very sensible advice for me about all of my issues. I didn’t necessarily agree with all of her advice, but most of it was good. I am very sad, lonely and don’t know what to expect of the future. The future doesn’t look very bright now, but you never know. I am going to try out several new ladies who seem promising.

With all of the bad vibes in the atmosphere due to the Covid19 issue, riots, and political upheaval, it seemed like the devil made his rounds to disrupt many cities, many lives, many political issues, etc. First there were Covid19 shutdowns which took away our rights. 80% of what I could do outside of the house was shut down or disappeared. Then the devil came to my neighborhood with the riots. A month later my site went down for a week. Actually that was done by angels for my protection, but felt like the devil was somehow involved. And then my site went back up, Carmen became incapacitated and then died shortly after. So much grief in just five months. No wonder I feel more depressed than I have felt in years.

Carmen was always there, usually answered the phone, only went on one quick vacation that I knew about which was a cruise in Mexico. But, she kept her phone with her so she was accessible. She even did phone duty while she was on Jury Duty. She was always there, and now she will never be there again.

I will have my psychic contact Carmen in the brighter world to see if she has anything she wants to tell the Notaries. My ability for spirit communication is okay for very quick questions and answers but not good enough for conversations. So, we will leave this up to Walter who is an expert.

Incoming phone communication to 123notary is basically almost impossible now. I answer some of my incoming calls. but, I really can’t get more than 10%. If you want to reach me fast, just use the email form on 123epayment.com. I am very slow by info@123notary.com, so if you are in a hurry, 123epayment.com is a little faster.

So for now, that is all I can say.

In August 2015, the Goddess Kali displayed on the Empire State Building

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 6:40 am

I heard from two sources that the Goddess Kali’s image was displayed on the Empire State Building in New York City.

For some that is just an image. For others it is scary as Kali is intense looking. For religious types, it might be considered blasphemy! But, for me, it is an omen of things to come.

Kali is the god of change, death and destruction among other things. She is from India. Many believe that California is named after Kali, and Cali, Colombia might also be. Additionally, Shiva is a God of destruction in India as well. But, these Gods are higher level spiritual entities or demi-Gods if you will. I cannot elevate them to the level of the God of the Universe as that is forbidden and also false information.

So, in August 2015 we see an image of Kali hovering over New York on it’s tallest building. Then, five years later we see New York economically destroyed due to Covid-19 shutdowns which are not constitutional and also an overreaction. Just because many people are dying all at once you don’t have to kill the entire economy. That is suicide.

There was a prophecy that America would be destroyed and its main port invaded, and its walls penetrated (walls of the Pentagon were actually penetrated and those are our thickest walls). It would come like an eagle swooping down from the sky. And in 2001, the plane that swooped down had an emblem of an eagle on it.

The destruction happened a little in 2001 as a warning or appetizer, but the bigger destruction happened in 2020. So, it seems to me that the destruction did not happen because of showing a false God, but that Kali was a premonition, omen or warning of things to come, or perhaps a spiritual presence that took a few years to fully manifest.

It is sad that NYC has basically been destroyed. It was the first capitol of the USA and ground zero was where Washington was sworn in in the year 1789. I believe that the USA will have a new main city, but it might be in the midwest or somewhere very far away from NYC and might have a very different character as well.

Kamala Harris proposes a $300 minimum fee for signings

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 6:33 am

KAMALA: I suggest a $300 minimum fee for loan signings.

RAND PAUL: If you do that, then most Notaries will be put out of work. Hiring parties will still have the right to NOT hire people…. at all.

JEREMY: Stop making sense! If everybody made sense then nothing would get done.

KAMALA: I remember that 20 years ago, there was a little girl who dreamed about being a mobile notary, and driving a Mercedes C class on her way to signings. Every night after she came home from school she would study Notary journals. She had to look up every second word because it was written in legalese. That little girl would do anything to become a successful mobile notary.

JEREMY: Let me guess — that little girl was you.

KAMALA: Hey, I’m supposed to say that.

RAND PAUL: I think the “20 years ago” part is a bit of a stretch.

KAMALA: Stay out of it!!! — I’ve still “got it” and you know it. I saw you checking me out.

JEREMY: A point well made. But, during your debate with Biden you said that you thought mobile notaries only deserved $150 minimum fee. Why a sudden change in heart?

KAMALA: It was a debate…. (pause)… It was a deBATE… (pause). It was a debate!!!! It was a debate…………………………………… ha ha ha ha ha!!! It was a debate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RAND PAUL: Isn’t she supposed to say that exactly 12 times?

JEREMY: Does Joe check you out too?

KAMALA: (frustrated look). None of your business!!!!!!

JEREMY: You can buy a lot of masala dosa with $300 per signing. But, the price of sambar is going up.

KAMALA: Not if you make it yourself. And I know where to buy the best ingredients!

TUCKER CARLSON: It looks like you are creating an elite class of Notaries who get all the work while everyone else starves. Is that the goal of socialism? It’s sure not my goal.

KAMALA: No!!! I just want people to get paid what they deserve.

JEREMY: They already do get paid what they deserve. It is called a free market.

RAND PAUL: At $300 per hit it’s anything but free. And with the test scores people get on Jeremy’s test, I’m not sure if they deserve more than $30 per signing… on a good day.

JEREMY: Good point. I was supposed to say that.

TUCKER CARLSON: Well you can say that next time.

LAURA INGRAHAM: And that’s the angle!

BYSTANDER: AT $300 per hit, I would just notarize myself.

JEREMY: That’s illegal

TUCKER CARLSON: That’s correct, and that wraps it up. Now, on to peace in the Middle East, or the lack of it. We have an interview with Bibi Netanyahu…

I gave a free upgrade offer to many notaries

Filed under: General Stories — admin @ 6:31 am

I filtered out a list of 100 notaries who did really well on our email quiz. I offered them a free upgrade if they did well on a more complicated ten question quiz. Only four have answered back and so far nobody has done well on it.

I want to offer opportunities to others. I don’t even charge for a lot of these opportunities. But, if you guys would study more, you might do well on my quizzes and get ahead in life. I would feel happier too.

Notary Public 101 on our blog offers a great opportunity to study from materials that will help you pass our email quizzes. It is not rocket science and it will help you become a more polished notary.

Maybe one day the situation will change and motivation will reign supreme. On a brighter note, we sell more certification courses now than a year ago.
