Elite Certification will benefit you for the rest of your life

It sounds ominous, but could be good too. Like if it were a goose that laid golden eggs. How can one possibly get such a goose? Easy — from 123notary!

Many Notaries say, “I studied already, why do I have to study again?” The answer is that in any profession, to keep you up to the highest standards you have to keep studying. And we have raised our standards and want to raise you with our standards. In the old days, we only asked a few questions to elite certify people because we were not organized about that particular test simply because so few people would take it. Now, we are giving it for free to many, and asking several dozen well organized questions falling into several categories. But, let’s do a cost and benefit analysis.

Cost – Free, but you need to invest 5 hours
It might take a few hours to study for the elite quiz. However, it does not cost money now. We used to charge $179, but now it is free, and lazy Notaries are not jumping at the opportunity because they want to get paid for services when they don’t understand what they are doing (despite their claims of being an expert.) I quiz people all day long and only 3% of you guys know what you are doing regardless of how many decades you have been doing Notary work incorrectly or illegally.

Just review basic notary acts and procedures. Review which documents cover what topics. Review the advanced elite topics in our study guide. It is not that hard and you can learn it.

Benefits:

1. Elite Certification is something you can keep for life.
We might want to do brush up quizzes from time to time, and you might have to review, but it is given with the intention of being a life designation. Whatever studying you do will benefit you with this icon for the rest of your career — day after day, month after month, year after year. You will get more money and jobs for the rest of your career.

2. Make $14 more per signing.
A poll of three hundred Notaries revealed that those who passed our elite certification made $14 more per signing than those who were not 123notary certified. Most Notaries complain that they don’t get paid enough and that they want to find a way to get paid more. Meriting the pay by proving your knowledge is the key. Our elite certification is highly prized and will get you more pay

3. Get more work
Those who are elite certified get a lot more clicks to their listing and a lot more work. I would estimate that they get close to double the work and more money per job. That translates into perhaps triple the income after expenses are paid such as car, printing, phone, etc.

4. Get favors from 123notary
We don’t always do people favors, and sometimes we do unfavors if you don’t login for 120 days (I’m sure you heard about that.) But, Elite Certified Notaries are a special breed, and if we can find a way to raise them up the list, we will. I am not promising anything, but we regularly reward Elite Certified members.

5. Get more respect from title companies
Title companies prefer our Elite members. If you are tired of signing services, get elite!

6. Legal safety
Most Notaries are not aware that being a Notary has legal liabilities. Some of the liability comes because of fraud or misunderstandings that can happen to you that is beyond your control. However, a lot of the danger that happens to Notaries happens because they do not take safety precautions in their paperwork, nor do they follow the law in many instances. Our elite program helps you be cautious and law abiding which could save you from being a witness or defendant in court. Being subpoenaed to court happens to 15% of full time Notaries eventually and is more common that you think. Reduce the chances of this happening to you by being safe and taking all the possible precautions.

7. Knowledge and pride
Most Notaries are proud of themselves thinking that they know it all when they know close to nothing. Having our Elite Certification proves that you are in the top 2% of our Notaries and really know your stuff up to a very high standard. You can feel pride based on real knowledge and not on an arrogant misconception of knowledge.

Elite Certification can change your life. It only takes a few hours of study. I assure you that it is more than worth it.

What is a high placed listing on 123notary worth?

Many people want a high placed listing for Notary advertising on 123notary.com, but complain about the prices. We keep our prices intentionally high to weed out Notaries who are not serious. But, should you pay big bucks to get a high placed listing?

A Good Foundation
First of all, you will not get your money’s worth if you did not pass our (signing agent) Notary certification test. People who visit our site want to see our signing agent certification, not some other agency’s like NNA or Notary2Pro, etc. Additionally, without a few fresh reviews from satisfied clients on your listing, you will lose a lot of the potential of a high placed listing. Finally, your notes section needs to be perfected, so ask us for help — it’s free. So, get your foundation in order before you invest above $100 in a listing.

Building Your Presence
123notary allows people to buy a high placed listing half a year at a time. So, you can try it out. Sometimes we might even let you try three months. We want you to be happy with what you purchased. So, if you try it out, you didn’t lose much if it didn’t work out. Some people have amazing stories of getting several jobs within hours of signing up while others wait weeks. A lot has to do with your luck, your presentation and timing.

Trying Multiple Areas
123notary also allows you to try multiple areas. Our most serious Notaries advertise in several counties with high placements. But, some of them want to put their toe in the water before making a long term commitment. They might get an additional county with high placement in Montgomery County to see how that goes. If it doesn’t work well, they ask if they can move it to Orange County. We understand that you might want to experiment, and that’s okay.

What do people who have been advertising on 123notary say?

I get 90% of my work from 123notary!
We get this a lot, but not from all of our Notaries. 123notary is feast or famine. The Notaries on the top of the list get most of the jobs while the Notaries lower on the list get the leftovers if there are any. Once in a while, a well prepared Notary lower on the list will get a fair amount of business too because they presented themselves well and have deep experience.

I got my first job within hours of signing up!
Some people get lucky and get a job right away. This is partly due to yogic thought. When you are thinking about expanding your presence, you attract new clients. Putting your money where your mouth is also increases the power of your thought. Some people have to wait a while before getting work. We recommend working on your FOUNDATION as we mentioned above as that can dictate how well you do against our very seasoned competition who lists on our site in your county (or perhaps they do)

I got five jobs my first two weeks on 123notary
Some people get a slew of jobs after getting a high placed listing on 123notary. There is no accounting for luck. Others start racking in the jobs after they pass the 123notary certification test.

Not being 123notary certified = only getting 47% of the work you would have gotten.

Most Notaries claim they don’t “need” to be 123notary certified. They are already NNA certified or already know it all. Our certification is not to teach you anything. Our purpose is to verify that you are up to a particular level of knowledge. The people who use our site take our certification very seriously and they skip over people who don’t have it. In fact, those who are not 123notary.com certified only get 47% of the jobs they would have gotten if they were certified according to my number crunching.

If you are paying $100 for a listing, but only getting $47 of the value, that’s terrible, right? But, most Notaries on our site are in exactly this position. They pay every year, but some other Notary who pays the same that they do is getting more than double the jobs they pay. So, you’d think that the uncertified Notaries would wake up and just study and take a test. But, they rarely do. Most of them took it before and failed and just gave up. If you give up on our test, you’re giving up on getting work from good companies.

So, what is the solution? Study! If you study hard, you can do better the next time you take the test. A little studying won’t kill you. Plus, this is your career and you should take it seriously. Not knowing what you are doing not only doesn’t make sense, but is dangerous!

Welcome to the 123notary.com Blog!

Welcome to the 123notary.com Blog!

To see the blog roll with our most RECENT posts, just click on the link below!
http://blog.123notary.com/

Introduction – 123notary.com directory – who we are.
123notary.com is a nationwide mobile notary directory that helps notaries market their notary services and offers a wealth of notary resource materials as well on our resources page.  123notary.com offers loan signing courses and loan signing agent certification courses too.  Feel free to sign up for a listing with us by visiting our advertise with us page on the navigation bar.  We offer FREE listings with low placement and paid listings with medium and high placement.

123notary and Social Media
123notary.com has endeavored to build a community feeling by creating various social media profiles over the last few years.  We created a notary discussion forum in 2004. Our forum grew in popularity over the years, but we found that the trends in social media had changed, and that more people prefered Facebook and other providers. Then, in 2009, we created Facebook and Twitter profiles which quickly became very lively.  In 2010, we decided to create a blog, to add a format where we could discuss notary issues in detail.  The forum had a nice form of interaction, but our blog will make it possible to focus on what a particular author has to share, rather than reading a potentially chaotic conversation between a variety of strangers all chiming in.

Guest writers
123notary.com will attempt to have a lively notary blog by blogging about the most interesting and critical issues facing notaries today.  In order to spice things up, we will
be having guest bloggers write articles about whatever notary blog topics they find interesting.  The guest writers each have a very different style and write about very different topics than I would write about which will make our blog diverse and interesting.  Our current guest bloggers are Ken and Carmen, but we hope to attract more as time goes on. If you write interesting materials, and want to be a guest blogger with us, just send us an email introducing yourselves, and we will consider you!

Topics for discussion

I want to use this notary public blog to discuss issues in a way that can not be adequately done on other mediums.  Forums have too much weak commentary from members with posts ranging from two or three words to a sentence. Some of the input is helpful while others is not on forums.  Very little of the writing on forums is good enough to feature on a resource page.  One major pattern I would like to establish on our blog is to take the best content from the forum and publish it in blog format.  I would select the most popular and helpful forum topics, and condense the more helpful commentary from the notaries in one page in a blog entry.   That way the 90-95% of forum commentary that is not helpful would be filtered or weeded out.  Another pattern I would like to use on the notary public blog is to address major issues facing notaries, in detail.  Rather that focusing on quantity, I would like to address certain pressing issues, and have thorough and quality input about these matters.  Some issues that will be popping up soon will include:  How to handle common problems at signings, Loan Modifications, Billing, Etiquette, e-signings,  How to Dress, etc.,    If there are topics that you would like addressed, you are welcome to voice your opinion.

Facebook, Twitter and our blog
We will get materials for our blog from discussions on facebook as one of our sources of information. Our facebook profile is a source of lively discussions and information about the notary world. Each week or two we discuss a different issue and break it in to components.   There will be lots of material to work with.  We will be tweeting about our new blogs on Twitter as a way to get the news out quickly. We may even have a competition on facebook for notaries who can write a great blog article that is good enough for us to post.
